There is something extraordinarily powerful about Black women coming together in a spirit of excellence, sisterhood, service, and shared purpose.
On July 11 and 12, Attorney Caprice L. Collins and her husband, Al Jenkins, had the pleasure of attending the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Retreat at the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club.
The meaningful weekend was filled with thoughtful conversations, genuine fellowship, professional connection, laughter, reflection, and a renewed commitment to the communities its members are privileged to serve.

Attorney Collins is proud to be a member of this dynamic organization. The Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles embodies many of the values that have guided her throughout her career, including professional excellence, leadership, mentorship, community engagement, and the advancement of Black women within the legal profession.
Throughout her career, Attorney Collins has understood that professional accomplishments carry even greater meaning when they are used to open doors, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for others. Organizations such as the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles serve as an important reminder that no woman walks alone. Each member is part of a larger legacy established by the courageous women who came before them and strengthened by the women who continue to lead, advocate, mentor, and serve today.
Attorney Collins was especially honored to volunteer to participate on the organization’s Charitable Giving Committee. Service has always been central to both her personal life and her work as an attorney. She firmly believes that the law is more than a profession; it is an opportunity to educate, empower, protect, and positively influence the lives of individuals and families.

Through her work in estate planning, Attorney Collins has seen firsthand how access to trusted information and thoughtful legal guidance can transform the future of an entire family. Charitable giving provides another powerful opportunity to create meaningful and lasting change. She looks forward to contributing her time, experience, and perspective to the committee while supporting initiatives that provide tangible assistance to individuals and communities in need.
The retreat also offered Attorney Collins a valuable opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with the importance of rest, renewal, and intentional reflection. Professional women often devote so much of their time to caring for clients, families, colleagues, organizations, and communities that they can forget to pause and restore themselves.
Being surrounded by so many accomplished and inspiring women was a wonderful reminder that strength is not measured solely by how much one achieves. It is also reflected in the willingness to support others, share experiences, celebrate victories, learn from challenges, and make room for joy throughout the journey.
Attorney Collins was also grateful to experience the beauty and peaceful surroundings of La Quinta Resort with her husband of 41 years, Al Jenkins. For more than four decades, Al has been her partner, greatest supporter, trusted companion, and dear friend. Sharing this special weekend with him made the experience even more memorable.
A successful professional life is deeply enriched by the people who stand beside us through every season. Attorney Collins remains tremendously grateful for the love, encouragement, patience, and partnership Al has provided throughout their marriage and during the many chapters of her legal career.
Attorney Collins returned home from the retreat feeling renewed, encouraged, and inspired. The weekend reaffirmed her belief that when talented and committed women unite around a shared vision, their influence reaches far beyond themselves. Together, they strengthen the legal profession, uplift future generations, and help build healthier, more informed, and more empowered communities.
Collins Law Group is proud of Attorney Collins’ membership in the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and looks forward to supporting her continued involvement in the organization’s mission and charitable efforts.
